Scholarships and Student Life

Tuition fees

Tuition fees are set annually and include university fees (€185 in 2015) and registration to the CinéFabrique (€40 for grant holders – €80 for commoners, in 2015).

Our convention with Université Lumière Lyon 2 allows all of our students to enjoy a student status, which may entitle them to the scholarships the CROUS grants based on social criteria.

Scholarships must be applied for online from the website of CROUS de Lyon during the first semester of the year (for the start of the 2016 academic year, from January to June 2016 – no need to wait for the results of the admission test). Université Lumière Lyon 2 is the appointed contact, see UFR Lettres Sciences Langage, Art (LESLA).

Social security affiliation

Affiliation to the Régime Etudiant de Sécurité Sociale (student social security) is compulsory if you are 16 to 28 years old at starting university (€215 in 2015).

Student registrations are centralized at the start of the academic year by the CinéFabrique.

The affiliation modalities to the student social security vary depending on your age during the academic year (from October 1st to September 30th of the following year) and on the trade of the parent you beneficiary of (father or mother).

  • If you are between 16 and 19 years old
  • You are still considered as beneficiary of your parents. In this regard, your affiliation to the student social security is compulsory and free.

  • If you are 20 or over 20 years old during the academic year
  • You are no longer considered as beneficiary of your parents. Your affiliation to the student social security is compulsory and charged, unless you are a grant holder: in such case, you are exempted of affiliation fees.
