The cinéFabrique offers a week of image education as film practice modules to 8 classes of CM1 (fourth-year primary school) and CM2 (fifth-year primary school) in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region. These modules are performed during school time, in consultation with the teaching staff of each school. They take place over a complete week, requiring all the classes and mobilizing the entire schedule.
The modules, performed by the students of the CinéFabrique, result in the making of about twenty short films which are all written, acted and co- directed with children.
The management of these workshops is part of the teaching programme and represents 2 ETCS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) for the students of the CinéFabrique. Students will complete a 3-week work involving preparation, a week of writing and shooting, and post-production.
As part of our partnership with the Saint-Etienne-based Ecole nationale de la Comédie, the modules are conducted in conjunction with the student- actors from that school.
The CinéFabrique assumes the administrative and artistic responsibilities for the performance.
